P.S It was always be “Collaborate and Listen”….. Word to your mother.

Editing Vegas pictures. Happy I decided to go. I need to remind myself of my own lil mantra, “I’ll never regret spending money on travel”.
Reading the 3rd book in the Jessica Darling series.
Worried about my mom’s future health and financial state. Then burying those worries when I begin to sob uncontrollably.
Watching the return of my favorite shows: Parks and Rec, Glee, The Office and Modern Family.
Pretending to not notice that my husband is really into Glee this season.
Celebrating the 49ers are 3-1.
Relieved that my boss got the Director position. Cant think of anyone who is more deserving and perfect for the job.
Feeling tired allllll.the.time.
Wanting a new haircut, more energy and Dr.Martens.
Budgeting for October.
Getting into the groove of crafting and documenting again.
Saying goodbye to summer and neon pink.
A huge part of my September rejuvenation is fall fashion. I love the transition of wardrobe pieces and how a new season can inspire a mini makeover. And makeover’s can make a girl feel, “oh, soooooo pretty”.
These feelings have been embedded since elementary school. I remember having detailed imaginations on how my new back to school/fall look, would look. My fashion imaginations would always start with the staples: two layers of scrunched socks and would continue with whatever fashion I was inspired by in that grade (mostly 90210 inspired–the O.G 90210). Understandably my parents couldn’t afford every fashion imagination I created, but whenever I was able bring my imagined look to real life, it was fun and indeed made me feel soooo pretty. 20 years later I still play fall fashion imagination, except now I’m sharing it with you:

Staples
1)Black Boots
2)Lincoln Park After Dark
Every first day of fall, I remove my summer nail color and replace it with my fall staple. This year was “goodbye hot pink” and “welcome back Lincoln Park After Dark”. It’s my own little tradition and I look forward to it every year.
3)Black Tights
Realllllly diggin the tights with everything look–even the bright colored tights. So fun. If I’m brave enough I’ll wear a bright funky pair this season–maybe.
2011 Trends
Looking forward to incorporating these trends:
4)Red Lipstick
5)Pleated Skirts
6)Color Blocking
As someone who looks horrible in earth tones, I’m really happy color-blocking is in this season. I love the idea of mixing vibrant colors in cooler months.
7)Bow tied necklines

It’s Monday and fall TV is officially back!
I LOVE TV, —no—seriously–I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV TV season.
I love the weekly relationship I have with my shows. I love the character development, witty scripts, nail biting plot-lines, tear jerking scenes or coming home from a hectic day and ending my day with laughter; it’s all feel good fun.
Before the DVR/TIVO days, I used to plan my work, school and social schedule based on my fave show’s fall line up (no joke). FRIENDS on Thursdays? Always off on Thursdays. Great host on SNL? Staying in on Saturday night. Pretty embarrassing eh? Thankfully DVR was invented (thank you the almighty DVR creator).
I’m giddy my fave shows are returning. Here are some shows that made it to my DVR’s must record list:

What are you watching this fall?
Happy Viewing!
